Education:

Syria believes that education is most important pillars of development of the country and the economy, therefore it made  the education compulsory and free of charge in the all the stages. the judicial decree No. 143of the year 1966 defines the role of the ministry of high education in supervising of the educational institutions and other affiliate scientific institutions, in order to spread the high education and tie it with the development plans and up-grade the levels of scientific research and to coordinate the research efforts on the national level.

Ministry of higher education:

• The perspective of its future vision, encapsulated in making the higher education system, research and a patriotic system provide the infrastructure for the transference, nationalization, proliferation and emission of knowledge in a systemic way that ensure the achievement of the principles and the objectives of the state, through diversifying the methods the state can provide various opportunities to its citizen, enhance their abilities and their skills for the best service of  the community at large, in order to attain the economy of knowledge.

• The system encompass a number of educational and research institutions  that aim to achieve excellence, quality and exactness through the investment in human resources as strategic wealth. To enhance the abilities for research, and guarantee the contribution of everybody to develop the economy, and raise the standard of living for the masses in order to place Syria in the map of the developed countries that export efficient and skilled human resources with the ability to compete in the region and the world at large.
