Syria has achieved a tangible steps in sponsoring the rights of the people with disabilities. The government has taken strictly planned and pre-measures and confirms its determination to implement national strategies in relation to disabilities, with the aim of improving the activities that protect people with disabilities. Further, the government continue in translating the international documents which recommend total assimilation of the people with disabilities in the society.
Syria approved the convention of persons with disabilities in 30 March 2008.
Syria arranged workshops and exhibitions to recruit persons with disabilities for jobs.
